Possessing a Business degree and certified as an IBM Systems Expert, Tom Fischer works tirelessly to support his clients’ enterprises with his company-wide philosophy of cutting-edge technology, commitment to quality, and exceptional customer service.
Cindy Fischer, Co-founder, CFO
As co-founder, owner, and CFO of TECA Data, Cindy Fischer has been keeping the business running smoothly and cost-efficiently since its inception in 2005. To maintain the upward trajectory of the organization and facilitate its continued growth, Cindy oversees and directs many key departments including customer account management, accounting/bookkeeping, and human resources. Additionally, she leads and manages the board of directors’ meetings, schedules technical staff, and collaborates with the marketing team. She holds an AD from the Minnesota School of Business and is a vital team player. For Cindy, providing peace of mind to TECA’s customers through Cloud Services is at the core of everything she does, and her numerous contributions are one the many reasons for TECA’s on-going success.
John McGee, Senior Director of Technology
Senior Director of Technology, John McGee, is charged with navigating TECA Data Safe into the future. To do so, he engages with customers and the TECA team to gain insight into the efficacy of current service offerings while exploring advancements in the industry that will continue to deliver value to TECA customers. John received his BS in IT from Western Governor’s University and has earned a wide range of industry certifications, including CCNP Routing and Switching, CCNA Routing and Switching, CCNA Security, MCSE, INFOSEC Professional, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Project+ and CompTIA Linux+. With an engineering background in the aerospace industry and forward-thinking vision on industry innovation, John is uniquely qualified to ensure the continued success of customers’ business continuity plans.
Bryan Whelan, IT Administrator
IT Administrator, Bryan Whelan, earned his Desktop Support Certification in Applied Sciences from Hennepin Technical College. Shortly thereafter, he joined the TECA team as an intern, and in January 2018, Bryan joined the TECA team as a full-time computer support specialist. In March 2019, Bryan took on the position of IT Administrator. In this role, Bryan performs invaluable services, including administrator for Hyper-V and VMware virtual environments; maintaining upgrading and troubleshooting servers, network, and firewalls; and assisting in the setup and execution of disaster recovery planning, among many other responsibilities.
Steven Shirley, Technical Sales Representative
TECA’s Technical Sales Representative, Steven Shirley, is committed to providing the absolute best hosting services available to meet the unique requirements of TECA’s clients. Steven earned his degree in Networking Security from ECPI and has years of experience applying his technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, high level understanding of hardware platforms, and critical thinking skills toward ensuring customer satisfaction. For almost a decade Steven worked to implement high performance disaster recovery solutions tailored for the IBM Power System line. Steven’s knowledge of comprehensive backup procedure and TECA’s long standing focus on the IBM Platform make for a perfect match. His goal is to expand TECA’s service offerings and solutions to better fit the ever-growing needs of TECA’s clients. Steve brings his high energy, resolution-based approach to TECA’s already knowledgeable team.
