How does it work?

The Recovery Process

Imagine a frozen pipe burst in your company’s data center, damaging your systems. If you are a TECA Data Safe client with the Rapid Rebound solution, the recovery/restore procedure is as follows:

  1. You call our toll-free number and declare a disaster. This alerts our engineers and managers, who will immediately respond to you. With TECA’s Rapid Rebound Solution, we have your nightly backups and full system saves at our recovery data center ready to be restored to one of our recovery servers.
  2. First, our expert staff will ask you questions to determine which specific virtual backup tape volumes are the most current and confirm which volumes you want us to restore.
  3. Once we’ve established which virtual backup tape volumes you wish to have restored, we’ll begin the process of recovering and restoring your system(s). We do this by utilizing the cloud virtual backup tape volumes you have been replicating to us daily/nightly and have specified for the disaster recovery restore.
  4. While that’s taking place, we’ll work with you to address any network connectivity issues. For example, if a disaster destroys your building, we’ll assist in connecting your authorized employees who may be working from home, a coffee shop, or even a backup office. If your office is intact and accessible, we’ll connect to that location as well as any branches or satellite offices. Whatever process works best for you and your organization, we’re here to help.
  5. You’re back in business.

TECA provides recovery solutions to fit your company’s RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective) needs. Our solutions range from RTO/RPO’s of 24 hours or less to 1 hour or less.
