This past year, we’ve lived through some wild weather — blizzards, tornadoes, hurricanes, and floods. In the aftermath, power outages, burst pipes, or structural damage and destruction have some businesses scrambling to recover downed systems. For many, the longer their systems are not operational, the greater the possibility that their business will take a significant hit. Maybe even fail.
At TECA Data Safe we offer you the peace of mind that comes with knowing your systems and data are safe. With Rapid Rebound, (just one of the varying RTO/RPO disaster recovery solutions we offer), you can recover and restore your valuable information quickly and efficiently.
How does it work?
The Recovery Process
Imagine a frozen pipe burst in your company’s data center, damaging your systems. If you are a TECA Data Safe client with the Rapid Rebound solution, the recovery/restore procedure is as follows:
- You call our toll-free number and declare a disaster. This alerts our engineers and managers, who will immediately respond to you. With TECA’s Rapid Rebound Solution, we have your nightly backups and full system saves at our recovery data center ready to be restored to one of our recovery servers.
- First, our expert staff will ask you questions to determine which specific virtual backup tape volumes are the most current and confirm which volumes you want us to restore.
- Once we’ve established which virtual backup tape volumes you wish to have restored, we’ll begin the process of recovering and restoring your system(s). We do this by utilizing the cloud virtual backup tape volumes you have been replicating to us daily/nightly and have specified for the disaster recovery restore.
- While that’s taking place, we’ll work with you to address any network connectivity issues. For example, if a disaster destroys your building, we’ll assist in connecting your authorized employees who may be working from home, a coffee shop, or even a backup office. If your office is intact and accessible, we’ll connect to that location as well as any branches or satellite offices. Whatever process works best for you and your organization, we’re here to help.
- You’re back in business.
TECA provides recovery solutions to fit your company’s RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective) needs. Our solutions range from RTO/RPO’s of 24 hours or less to 1 hour or less.
While we can’t predict the weather or any other disasters that might come your way, we can offer you the quickest, easiest, and most reliable way to ensure your disaster recovery so you can remain in business.

True or False?
Springtime weather can be chaotic. Test your knowledge with these True or False statements:
The state with the most tornadoes is Kansas, the home state of Dorothy and Toto.
False. Everything is bigger in Texas, and apparently more frequent too. Texas averages 124 twisters a year, followed by Oklahoma with 52, Kansas with 47, and Florida with 46.
The lowest temperature ever recorded in the USA was -79.8 degrees F in 1971 at Prospect Creek, Alaska.
True. Though many in TECA’s home state of Minnesota claim it often feels that cold (or colder) to them most of the winter.
The largest snowfall in a single month in the US was in Tamarack, California. They received a whopping 390 inches in January 1911.
True. We’ll save you the trouble — that’s 32.5 feet of snow, folks! That’s 11.5 feet higher than George Washington’s nose on Mt. Rushmore is long … and that’s quite the schnoz!
